I was determined to replace the windows (like, immediately) on my '65
c-26 but decided to try the "light oil" treatment recently posted. The crazing and fogging was horrific.Using a sponge and a small can of 3-in-1 oil, I'm delighted to say I've pushed back that window replacement to next fall. While it's no miracle cure, the oil tends to fill in the crazing, and moisturize
the fogging so it disappears. There also appears to be a slightly "smokey" look, which matches the new smoked lexan on my forward hatch.Pretty good for $2.50! I'm not sure how long it will last, but I sure have other projects I'd rather take on just now

Hi Dennis
It doesn't crack. There is a chemical reaction between two synthetic
materials. They slowly create a gas between the two layers. The gas
causes the wrinkles to bulge up ever so slightly, but they look just like
cracks from inside and out. When the film man told me this, I thought well
what the hell, I need to replace these scratched things anyway. So, I had him do them anyway as the cost was minimal. He was 100% correct. Amen, end of story. D.
